The WHO/UNAIDS strategy to increase access to treatment for people living with AIDS was launched on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2003.

On Saturday, July 10, 2004 in Bangkok, WHO and UNAIDS will release the "3 by 5" Progress Report and "HIV Plan". What progress has been made in scaling up treatment six months on, and what more needs to be done? What is the WHO plan to continue to assist countries to increase access to prevention, treatment and care for HIV/AIDS? The reports include the latest treatment data from regions (up to June 2004). WHO will also issue 26 country profiles.

Public Information Booth

The WHO "3 by 5" booth is located in the main commercial and non-commercial exhibition hall - booth no. 67, next to UNAIDS/WHO booth no.66. All additional documentation including advocacy kit, WHO HIV plan, "3 by 5" Progress report, recent publications and Bangkok press releases will be available.
