Ageism: What you can do

Get involved!

We encourage our partners and all member states to host events or activities to counter ageism and support the United Nations International Day of Older Persons on October 1, 2016. Consider the following ways of getting involved:

Call for messages of support from your political leadership

Call for local, regional, and national commitment to age-friendly cities and communities, healthy ageing and the roll out of the WHO Global Strategy and Action Plan on Ageing and Health.

Hold events on ageism and invite colleagues to participate
