Strategic Research on Governance, Equity and Health
In 2004 the International Development Research Centre, Canada (IDRC) approved a grant to enable the Alliance HPSR to manage, in collaboration with the Centre’s Governance, Equity and Health initiative, a regional fund for Eastern and Southern Africa. The overall objective of the research project was to establish a regional competitive grants program to support a set of high quality research projects providing evidence for informed and need-based decisions for policy and practice.
