African Programme for Onchocerciasis Control (APOC)

Joint Action Forum (JAF)

The Joint Action Forum (JAF) is the top governing body of APOC. It decides on the overall policy and strategy of the Programme. It also approves the annual budget and plan of action.

The JAF consists of representatives from:

  • financial donors
  • the ivermectin donor
  • participating countries
  • the Committee of Sponsoring Agencies (CSA)
  • non-governmental development organizations (NDGOs) in partnership with APOC
  • the Technical Consultative Committee (TCC).

The JAF meets annually in December. The meeting is usually hosted alternatively by a participating country and a donor country.
