IMAI in countries
Bar chart shows how Uganda and other countries have adopted the Integrated Management of Adult and Adolescent Illness (IMAI) approach to providing chronic HIV/AIDS care. The chart shows the number of health-care workers, facilitators and HIV-positive patients, known as ‘expert patients’ or People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA), who have been trained from June 2004 to March 2005 to deliver simplified antiretroviral therapy (ART).
