Guidelines and integrated programs for secondary prophylaxis
The 1998 technical report on the management of rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease is being revised, using evidenced-based methodology. The draft document will be available on the web for peer review and wider circulation by June 2002. Secondary prophylaxix programs that can be integrated into primary health care are being developed in consultation with local experts.
