Overview

Most GAS control activities have fallen in the past into rheumatic heart disease (RHD) secondary prophylaxis programs, and management of acute rheumatic fever, RHD and sore throat / GAS pharyngitis. The review looks into the entire range of potential strategies for controlling GAS diseases, and discusses the evidence supporting them and the associated cost.
