WHO Anthro (version 3, April 2009) and macros

This page provides the option to download the software WHO Anthro for use on personal computers (PC) and mobile devices (MD) with Windows operating systems. In addition there are macros for the statistical software packages SPSS, SAS, S-Plus and STATA to facilitate survey data analysis.

Software

The WHO Anthro software for PC has been further updated to allow users to correct for cluster sampling in the analysis of nutritional surveys. Additionally the survey module includes now the option to collect address data similarly to the inidvidual assessment. This information can be useful for mapping and stratified analysis. Furthermore another language option enables users now to change not only from English to French and Spanish but also to Russian. The PC manual has also been updated to reflect these changes.

Macros

All four macros, i.e. the SAS, S-Plus, SPSS and STATA macro calculate the indicators of the attained growth standards (length/height-for-age, weight-for-age, weight-for-length, weight-for-height, body mass index-for-age, head circumference-for-age, arm circumference-for-age, triceps skinfold-for-age and subscapular skinfold-for-age).

• The kind of problem found
• Whether it appeared systematically or randomly
• Where it was found on what platform (PC or Mobile), in what module interface, or in what macro
• How it occurred, including what sequence of commands or buttons
• What the expected result would have been
• In case you managed to circumvent/solve the problem, how you did it
