India has conducted a subnational STEPS survey in 6 centers in 2004 (Ballabargh, Chennai, Delhi, Dibrugarh, Nagpur, Trivandrum), and another STEPS survey including 7 states in 2007 (Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand).
