STEPS Analysis Programs and Documentation
Epi Info Analysis Programs
The Microsoft Access database below contains the Epi Info analysis programs needed to complete the Data Book and Fact Sheet. To obtain the latest version of the programs, follow the steps below.
- Download and unzip the Epi Info programs zip file. Inside is an Access database (.mdb file).
- Open the Access database and right click on the table "Programs".
- Select "Export" and in the "Select Table to Export to" window select STEPS.mdb (this should be the name of your dataset and it should be located in C:\STEPS\EpiInfo).
- Select the "Definition and Data" option in the dialogue window and click "OK".
- Click "Yes" on the dialogue window that asks if you want to replace the "Programs" table that already exists.
SPSS Analysis Programs
The zipped folder below contain the SPSS analysis programs needed to complete the Data Book and Fact Sheet. To obtain the latest version of the programs, follow the steps below.
- Download and unzip the zip file below.
- Save the folder containing all the SPSS syntax files (.sps files) to this location on your computer: C:\STEPS\SPSS
- Be sure your dataset is called "MasterDataSet.sav" and that it is located at this same location: C:\STEPS\SPSS
Analysis Programs Documentation
The PDF file below contains a detailed description of all analysis programs available to complete the Data Book. This file is formatted like the Data Book with each Program description located immediately after the corresponding data table.
