Topic Advisory Group for Ophthalmology

Tasks:
The Ophthalmology TAG reviews categories in the ICD relating to ophthalmic diseases. Ophthalmic diseases are found in several different chapters of ICD-10, principally within Chapter 7 (Diseases of the eye and adnexa). The TAG also formulates definitions and diagnostic criteria for the relevant categories, and suggests changes to the classification structure.

The Ophthalmology TAG is co-chaired by Dr. Satoshi Kashii and Dr. August Colenbrander, who have been nominated by the International Council of Ophthalmology.
