Ebola travel advice

Ebola is still a public health emergency

December 2015 -- The Emergency Committee on the Ebola outbreak, convened by the WHO Director-General under the International Health Regulations, met for the 8th time. Based on its advice, the Director-General declared that the 2014-2015 Ebola outbreak in West Africa continues to constitute a public health emergency of international concern.

Exit screening for Ebola

Current exit screening of all persons departing affected countries through international airports, seaports and major land crossings is recommended by WHO and can reduce the numbers of people with symptoms from travelling from the countries with high levels of Ebola transmission.
