2001 - Imported case of yellow fever in Belgium - Update

The patient who was infected with yellow fever while travelling in The Gambia died in a hospital in Belgium on 14 November 2001.

WHO advises all travellers to be aware of the risk of yellow fever and to ensure that they are vaccinated if they are travelling to areas where there is a risk of yellow fever transmission.
