Cholera in Mozambique

Disease Outbreak Reported

WHO has received reports of three cholera outbreaks in different parts of the country; 1135 cases and 23 deaths between 7 April and 18 May in 8 districts of Gaza Province; 3650 cases with 31 deaths from 24 February to 18 May in Maputo Province, with Sabie the most affected district; and between early January and 18 May, 2503 cases and 13 deaths in Sofala Province, with the peak occurring in April.
