Dr Anselm Hennis
Dr Anselm Hennis is Senior Lecturer in Epidemiology and Director of the Chronic Disease Research Centre, Tropical Medicine Research Institute, University of the West Indies (UWI); Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the School of Clinical Medicine & Research, UWI, and Honorary Consultant Physician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Bridgetown.
He is also Research Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine, State University of Stony Brook, NewYork, USA, and Scientific Secretary of the Caribbean Health Research Council. He has conducted research in the areas of diabetic foot disease, glucose tolerance in pregnancy, diabetic eye disease and other aspects of ophthalmic epidemiology, among other research interests that include obesity, hypertension, aging and cancer epidemiology.
