HIV Rapid Test Training Package

In response to expanding access to HIV rapid testing, WHO and CDC have developed a training package to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to establish policies and to perform testing in a manner that assures reporting of reliable and accurate test results. The CDC/WHO HIV Rapid Test Training Package is competency-based, comprehensive and adaptable to support country specific polices and testing algorithms.

Guidelines for Assuring the Accuracy and Reliability of HIV Rapid Testing

This document aims to establish guidelines for applying quality systems which are essential to HIV rapid testing. It is intended for persons involved in policy development, planning and implementation of HIV rapid testing such as government health officials, those responsible for HIV/AIDS programmes and for managing voluntary testing and counselling sites. It also provides information useful for testing personnel, with or without laboratory training.
