External quality assessment schemes for clinical chemistry
The WHO EQAS for clinical chemistry covers approximately 86 laboratories in 62 WHO Member States. It is distributed by the WHO Collaborating Centre based within the UK National External Quality Assessment Scheme (UKNEQAS) located at Wolfson EQA Laboratory, Birmingham, UK.
Basic laboratory tests are essential for monitoring the patients infected with HIV that may or may not be on anti-retroviral therapy.
The basic analytes include: Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Urea, Glucose, Calcium, Phosphate, Iron, Urate, Creatinin, Bilirubin, Protein, Albumin, Cholesterol, AST & ALT.
