Reducing excess mortality from common illnesses during an influenza pandemic
WHO guidelines for emergency health interventions in community settings
Overview
DCE sets standards and develops guidelines which present recommendations intended to assist public health professionals to make informed decisions regarding communicable disease prevention and control in the context of humanitarian emergencies. They include a reference field manual on communicable disease control in emergencies. DCE also collaborates with other WHO departments on disease-specific and cross-cutting guidelines in emergencies, including for malaria, TB, and child health.
