  • VF - Dec 2012 - Réunion du Réseau de l’OMS EVIPNET: Promouvoir la recherche pour améliorer la santé
    L’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS) a lancé un appel aux pays de la Région africaine de l’OMS à faire de la recherche pour promouvoir la connaissance et renforcer l’action sanitaire afin d’améliorer la santé humaine. L’appel a été lancé par le Dr Bocar TOURE, Directeur du Département Renforcement des Systèmes et Services de Santé du Bureau régional de l’OMS pour l’Afrique, à l’ouverture d’une réunion de deux jours du Réseau EVIPNET, une initiative majeure et novatrice de l’OMS sur la connaissance.

    26-28 March 2012 - National capacity building workshop was hosted by Muraz Centre in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso on evidence-informed policy-making and delivered by trainers from direction of health research from ministry of health and members of EVIPNet Burkina Faso Country team and by EVIPNet WHO/Geneva. A total of 20 researchers from Muraz centre were trained on how to communicate and value research results to policy-makers through policy brief and national policy dialogue

    14-17 November 2011 - Capacity building workshop was hosted by WHO/AFRO in collaboration with University of Kwazulu Natal, WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery development, and EVIPNet in Durban, South Africa. Technical support was provided by “Evidence-informed Policy Network or EVIPNet" from WHO/Geneva and HRH Programme/AFRO. A total of 16 nurse and midwifery researchers and academicians and representative from policy making in the Ministry of health from five (5) countries (Botswana, Burkina Faso Malawi, South Africa and Senegal) participated in the 4 day workshop. Participants developed evidence for policy briefs on issues retention and educational qualification/specialization related to Human Resources Crisis for Health in Sub-Saharan Africa.
