Unsafe food is a major cause of diarrhoeal disease in children and a primary vehicle for transmission of a range of toxic chemicals from the environment. Observing the WHO "five keys to safer food" can reduce the risk of foodborne disease: keep clean, separate raw and cooked food, cook food thoroughly, store food cold, use safe water and raw materials. |
