The nearest clinic is a 30 minute walk from Hiwot's home. Hiwot attended her first antenatal check-up at 16 weeks and plans to have check-ups every month from now until the birth.

She is lucky - just 27% of Ethiopian women receive antenatal care during their pregnancy.
