These mothers wait for their children to be examined by a health worker at Al Salaam camp's health facility. Around 140 to 160 patients are treated at the facility every day. The most common illnesses among children are acute respiratory infections, malaria and diarrhoea. The rates vary, depending on the time of year. The peak for malaria occurs in the rainy season from June to August.
