Many children - like these drinking water from an arsenic-contaminated tubewell - lack awareness and knowledge about the health risks in their environment. Arsenic is present in almost all waters in very small amounts. But water in certain areas contains this toxin in dangerous levels, consumption of which can lead to serious diseases including cancer.
