Poor air quality is a health risk in developing regions of the world. Even in remote rural areas, such as Nepal's Gatlang in this photo, high levels of air pollution can arise from the daily household use of solid fuels. Air pollution and respiratory diseases are consequences of solid fuel use, which is also unsustainable for the environment.
