Coordinated planning, synchronized activities and joint monitoring and surveillance are ensuring good vaccination coverage among border populations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Close collaboration between the ministries of health, WHO and the partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative will stop polio along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
