Introducing speed limits

A road sign at the entrance to Karondo, 25 km from Kigali, reminds drivers to reduce their speed to less than 40 km per hour.

The newly introduced national speed limit is 60 km per hour on open roads. At the entrance to towns and villages it drops to 40 km per hour.
