Some 1.5 million vaccines from the emergency stockpile of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) were secured for the campaign through the International Coordinating Group on Vaccine Provision for Yellow Fever. The European Commission's Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) helped to fund the operation.
