Visiting Kenya in early July for the YWCA Summit, Dr Chan met HIV-positive women in Nairobi. "Women must be in the driver’s seat. We know enough to reach this conclusion," she told the YWCA Summit. "Women can turn the tide in this epidemic. Women are best placed to make existing tools work."
