At the Women Deliver conference in London, Dr Chan talked about the need to take action on the ground. “I often see a lot of discussion but I would like to see more action on the ground, at the country level where the women will benefit from our work. Many women die during childbirth or soon after and actually we know the solutions. It is just a matter of getting it done," she said.
