In Pakistan, Dr Chan met with a group of "lady health workers". "I learned valuable lessons travelling to Pakistan and Afghanistan where I met with women who are at the forefront - working hard to provide care, to be a mother, to be a wife, and to be at the heart of the community mobilizing efforts and energy to provide access to health care."
