Slide 2

This farmer's family reported seven suspected Ebola cases following direct contact with wildlife. Three of them died. In the past, people have been infected with Ebola virus when exposed directly to wildlife (fruit bats, gorillas, chimpanzees, duikers, etc.). Dissuading the local people from hunting is difficult as wildlife are a ready source of food and other food sources are rare or too expensive.
