Few villagers in remote areas have any means of public or private transport. So the vaccinators try to reach them. Cyril Dacko, a health technician, travels along one of Mali's main north-south roads to the village of Koursalé. He is carrying the vaccine case, syringes, swabs and vaccination cards. Health workers have to travel between 7 and 10 kilometres to reach the people in need of vaccination.
