Plans are now being drawn up to meet the long-term health needs of the survivors. Making safe water, adequate food and shelter, appropriate sanitation and psychosocial counselling available is now the priority for WHO and its partners, They are also working to ensure essential health services in safe, well-equipped and staffed facilities and sufficient supplies of medicines.
