Senegal: saving the lives of mothers and babies

The health centre has recruited more trained staff to help pregnant women. More women have access to skilled antenatal care and safe delivery. As a result, the number of women who die during childbirth has fallen significantly and preventable conditions such as eclampsia and sepsis no longer kill local mothers.
