Berrian's outlook for complete recovery from TB is excellent. He has drug-sensitive TB, which means he can be cured with a six-month course of antibiotics. Stevens will support him through the prescribed therapy. This will protect Berrian from the potentially lethal effects of the disease and prevent the development of dangerous drug-resistant TB strains.
