Acute respiratory infections

While measles, diarrhoea, scabies and other illnesses are threats, the most widespread disease among displaced people is acute respiratory infection. Up to 21% of displaced persons suffer from respiratory infections. Mild cases are treated with antibiotics. More severe cases that develop into pneumonia can require hospitalization.
