Strained health services

The sheer size of the displaced population strains health services inside the camps and within host communities, as shown in this crowded waiting room at a camp. In northwest Pakistan, few women health providers are available to provide medical care to women (a routine practice here), which further limits care for pregnant women and new mothers.
