An entire region in Hungary, Somogy, with a population of 395 000, has been studied for the last ten years by Dr I. Angeli in order to determine the incidence of diabetes and to identify, if possible, the factors that favour its development. As part of his research, Dr Angeli personally checks the condition of many workers in this predominantly rural area.
