In 1958 Robert Doisneau produced a photographic profile of Dr Edmond, a country doctor in the rural département of the Creuse in central France. Doisneau followed Dr Edmond in his consultations with patients, his errands in town, and his life at home. The photo report appeared in the World Health magazine in 1958.
