Private-public partnership benefits women and newborns in India

Nursing school students receive training in Gujarat, India.

In this nursing school in Mehsana district, 36 students are trained for 18 months to become skilled nurses. The training covers care before, during and after childbirth as well as newborn care and family planning. After the training, the nurses will work in rural areas where the Chiranjeevi scheme runs.
