Private-public partnership benefits women and newborns in India

The Chiranjeevi scheme has made better care available to pregnant women and encouraged them to go to maternity hospital for delivery. More than a third of the 2000 emergency calls received by a new ambulance service every day are related to pregnant women in rural areas.
