This young woman lost two babies she delivered at home with the help of a traditional birth attendant. This time she gave birth in hospital to a healthy baby girl. The results of Chiranjeevi Yojana have encouraged other Indian states to initiate similar programmes. It is currently being replicated in the states of West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
