WHO TAKES PART IN UN ASSESSMENT
WHO international staff joined a recent United Nations assessment mission into Mogadishu to take a first-hand look at the humanitarian crisis. The mission visited three displaced people's settlements and two hospitals in Banadir and Al Madina to assess the availability of essential medicines, equipment and surgical supplies, plus the presence of health staff. Banadir, in particular, is in urgent need of drugs and medical supplies, as well as trained medical staff.
