H1N1 vaccines – shared risks, shared resources
Following emergence of the risk posed by the H1N1 virus, WHO works with collaborating centres and pharmaceutical industries to develop pandemic vaccines in record time. WHO negotiates vaccines donations from pharmaceutical industries to 95 developing countries and aims to secure enough vaccines to cover 10% of the population of these countries.
