Diarrhoea kills an estimated 1.5 million children every year. The WHO/ UNICEF report, Diarrhoea: why children are still dying and what can be done lays out a seven-point plan to prevent and treat childhood diarrhoea. Dr Chan, WHO's Director-General, encourages governments and partners to put the plan into action.
