Financial support from the GAVI Alliance
The GAVI Alliance has disbursed US$ 29.5 million for the introduction of MenAfriVac in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger, to cover vaccine purchases, planning, equipment, training and evaluation. A further US$ 55 million has been disbursed for stockpiling polysaccharide vaccines for reactive outbreak response in other countries of the meningitis belt.
