Maude Beauséjour is in charge of laundry for the cholera treatment unit. She helps to ensure that the patients are kept in sanitary conditions. Treating cholera is new to most of Haiti’s health-care workers who have not seen it in their generation, they have had to learn quickly in the midst of an epidemic that made over 220 000 people sick in 3 months.
