Reducing harmful alcohol use
Each year, the harmful use of alcohol results in 2.5 million deaths worldwide. WHO's Global status report on alcohol and health aims to reduce those deaths by providing governments in 100 countries information about national levels of alcohol consumption. This will help them create policies in key areas such as alcohol marketing and drink-driving.
