This is 13-year old Laxmi Tamang, the first person in Nepal to officially receive the combined measles-rubella vaccine. She lives in Nepalganj in Nepal’s low-lying “terai” area bordering India. People in this area are especially at risk of cross-border spread of diseases like measles.
