One of the most important tasks of WHO on the ground is to coordinate the deployment and work of international medical teams that are supporting national teams in the typhoon-affected areas. For example, the Israeli Medical Corps with 64 staff, set up a health facility in the town of Bogo. WHO also guides its partners on donations of medicine and healthcare equipment to ensure that the Philippines receive the supplies their people need.
